Commercial production begins at Kashagan field
On December 7, in Atyrau with the participation of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev the official launch of Kashagan was carried out, one of the largest oil fields in the world and the first offshore field in Kazakhstan.
Kashagan and the Tulips for the People of Kazakhstan
On 7 December 2016, Mr Ben van Beurden, the CEO of Royal Dutch Shell plc and other seniors of the North Caspian Sea PSA Partners attended the official ceremony in Atyrau dedicated to the start of Commercial Production at the Kashagan Field. Mr van Beurden presented a unique gift to the RoK President Nursultan Nazarbayev on the occasion of the 25th Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Kazakhstan: a certificate for 25.000 tulip bulbs of the “President Nazarbayev” variety specifically bred by Dutch florists.

Germany-made Ball Valves for Kazakhstan’s Oil Industry
Kazakh-German company Böhmer Armatura LLP launched its production on July 2, 2014, during the teleconference with the participation of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev. On August 30 of the same year, the President personally visited the enterprise and he highly appreciated the launch of the new facility. To Work in Kazakhstan. Legal Aspects of Receiving Invitation for Foreign Workers and Their Families in the Republic of Kazakhstan
Entering the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan requires foreign citizens to hold a valid visa for the time of entry, and to acquire visa foreign citizen should hold an invitation from the citizen or the legal entity of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The procedure of issuing visa is governed by the “Rules on issuing visas in Republic of Kazakhstan, including extension and reduction of its terms” enforced by Joint order of Minister of Internal affairs No. 175 on March 07, 2013 and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs No. 08-1-1-1/1 on March 05, 2013 (hereinafter – Rules on issuing visas).

Increased oil recovery ratio of viscous crude oils
The article presents rationale of the possibility to increase the basic parameter of parameter field development – the factor of oil recovery from reservoirs designed and exhausted (suspended) deposits with use of new developments and advances in technology.
It is appropriate in this period, as the developed fields run out of normal "light" crude oil at the backdrop of declining reserves replacement level due to new discoveries of medium and light crude oils.
